Introduction
As part of the PIB (Partners for International Business) plan ‘BASE CHINA’ (Business Accelerator Semicon Equipment China), see www.base-china.nl), BCS and several of its members have visit China from March 11 to March 16.

This mission was built around the Semicon China 2018 event, that took place in Shanghai, but also included a Seminar we’ve organized together with Xiamen Semiconductor Investment.

Overall we can look back at a very successful week, that included a lot of visits, signing of MoU’s and of course a great Holland High Tech booth at the Semicon Show.

On Monday March 12 the Xiamen Semiconductors Trade and Investment Summit took place. This event was organized and hosted by Xiamen Semiconductor Investment.
In the Xiamen region, there is heavily invested in Semiconductors, both in Design and Manufacturing (focus on Backend).

The summit was attended by over 120 Chinese Semicon Industry and Investment people and several Chinese media. We would like to thank Mr. Wang (CEO of Xiamen Semiconductors Investment) and his team for the very warm welcome and well-organized summit!

For next year, 2019, we’ve already booked an even larger space so we can host even more companies. Please contact us if you want to join and increase your business-opportunities in China.

Dutch Semicon Innovation Centre
One of the topics discussed, both in Xiamen and in Nanjing, was the Dutch Semicon Innovation Centre initiative. This Centre will focus on Dutch Semicon Equipment and give Dutch companies the opportunity to Demo and further develop their equipment.

We would like to thank Heineken China, for sponsoring our daily Happy hour, CyNergy Consulting, for all organization and Holland High Tech and the Dutch Consulate for all their support!
